Alright. I’ve had five days without soda, I’m getting ready to eat as healthy as I can afford, taking on more hours from both jobs, and getting on the work-out train. On top of all of this, I get to start working on my story. I’ve made a few pages of progress over the last few days, but I plan to use what I can of my free time to write, write, write! Anyone else in this boat?
I know, I know, I’m crazy for taking on more hours when I’m such a tool for not writing on the daily. But! I’m saving for an apartment with my bestie, and that is the logic behind it -she forbade me from getting a third job, so more hours are the only way I can achieve this. Also, but a lotto ticket to give that a try, pray for me! 🙂
Anyhow, my current word count is: 74,631. Not much movement from ‘last year’ -I’m a horrible, punny tool, I know- but I’m chill with that, and look forward to the new prospects of everything going on in my mind-palace.
I haven’t asked in a while, how are you guys doing? It’s been slightly silent as of late, and I fear some of you may have died. Anyone still alive out there? Drop a comment and let me know how you are doing, what’s going on, or whatever you like!
I’m getting close to a midpoint of my novel -I say midpoint as if I know what the actual length of my story is! Ha!- and the next section will be interesting to write. I’ll get to play with time, stretching the fabric of the story-line. Half of my characters will be in cryo for the next fifty or so pages, which may prove to be an exciting challenge. Any suggestions for nifty ways to show the differences in time passing? Aside from the usual “hair length changing,” “wrinkles beginning to show,” and so on.
